I have made a decision that I will introduce some sip software on my folloing posts. I don't introduce too much sip software and how to use it. I have mentioned sip software in my previous posts. Such as teltub google let you make Gogle Voice Calling Using SIP .
Today I will introduce one of the most famous sip software,eyebeam softphone .eyebeam phone software is very useful and I believe most of us konw it well and some of us are using it. But for some friends,they still have no idea how to use eyebeam software to make eyebeamphone. that is why I will talk about how to se up sip account on eyebeam softphone.
First, let me give you a brief about eyebeam software.EyeBeam is an upgraded version of X-Lite, which includes the g.729 codec required for the O-Tel network. So just do as what I will tell you. I believe you will master how to use it easily.
Fist of all ,you need to download eyebeam softphone from here: download EyeBeam .
Secondly ,you need to install it and launch it.
Thirdly, It's time for us to configuration. Open eyeBeam SIP Account Settings menu (right click);
here are some detail steps for this part. Please click on “Add” to add your SIP account and configure your SIP account settings as per the image below, replacing your username and password with the ones provided by SIP service provider. You just need to populate info on the “Account” Tab, leaving the remaining tabs as-is. (Also set your display name as per your own requirements)
After finish configuration, You can make and receive calls with EyeBeam software phone.
After you finishing all the steps, you will find it's not very difficult. And you will make or receive free calls very easily.
By the way, most sip software are the same. the way to configure eyebeam is also applicable for other sip clients.. Most SIP client use the same terminologies for these fields.
